| Malaria in goa & party? Hi friends, I'm travelling down to Goa for the last 2 weeks in March and have just been advised by my nurse to take malaria pills, although it's reccomended, I believe its not imperative. I have spoken to a few people who have been who say its not all that important. Anyone living out there now got any advise on this matter? Last time I took the malaria pills i had really bad side affects! Im travelling on my own as well and will be heading to Anjuna on Tues 16th March, if anyone know of any good parties happening then please let me know or if there are any lone travellers looking for the same cheers Dan |

| Its much more complicated than that. Taking a malarial regime requires some serious background into the various different regimes with the particular potential side effects of each and equally important how each must be taken. Its not like generic aspirin. For example, people will take take Doxy without paying the least attention to the requirements to avoid esophogitis. Each regime will potentially affect some people. I would guess that it is best for you that you take the chance and do without. Its a relatively small chance you will get it. But, if you do, get treated in India where they are familiar with what to do.. |
