Lucia Beach Guesthouse, Candolim

For anyone familiar with this hotel i have a few questions...

Firstly is this place right on the beach or is it like 5 min walk from the beach ?

Secondly whats the cost per night or week for a double ?

Tired out after the long flight and drive from Manchester and Lucia Beach guest house is clean and Lucia and Joseph are the best hsts I have met. The breakfast is great and you get it delivered to your room. It is the turning right just after Kingfisher Villa (all the cabbies know it). They like their guests to behave so no one stopping there gets disturbed. The beach is at the bottom of the garden about 250 metres walk over the dunes. Costs for me was £40 per week including breakfast but you pay for taxi to and from airport 550Rp approx. They only have 6 rooms and two are air conditioed one with a kitchen but they are approx 800 Rp. All have a fridge and the Kings was only 20Rp a bottle. E-mail Joseph and he will be pleased to tell you the rates..

Hello Dave, glad you enjoyed Lucia Beach.... you had our room the day we left!!!!!!!! How are they getting on with the Ship removal??

You have to be Joking there is already a bribery corruption with the removal of the ship with one of the Ministers. I think it will still be there when I go back knowing the way they work. But it gets inside you, the feel of the place, and I hope the new airport will not spoil Goa. I have a feeling that keri beach will soon have hotels and that would be an enviromental crime. Will go back in 2007 but may not resist 2006.
