Low Season in Goa
I am wondering if March 20th onwards is considered "low season" in Goa? I will be there for about a week at that time. So I want to know if accomodation will be cheaper and if I can try to bargain. Are there lots of people there at that time? Me and my girlfriends are hoping there will be lots of people to hang out with! Thanks.

Yes how very perceptive of you JeRiko1
That is one of the reasons why I am asking if it is the low season. If it is then there would very obvioulsy not be many people there. Maybe I should have phrased my question better. |

Jenny, there is no hard and fast rule for a low season. It all depends on the demand and supply situation on the day on which you arrive. June to September is generally considered to be the off season. Some of the guesthouses close down for maintenance during this period. Please check your inbox, I am sending you a PM.

In terms of prices, mid March is pretty much low season!! More empty rooms, as there will be in March means cheaper prices for rooms!!
Although the main beaches like Arambol Palolem will still have plenty people around to hang out with!! But these places are so over endowed with accomodation that March certainly sees the rooms freeing up!! And the market become a bit more competitive!! |

March might be the best time. Trust me, you do not want to visit Goa during "high" season -- especially NYE. As long as it has not started raining (and it shouldn't be in March) you should find enough people to hang out with. Regarding accomdation, the best deals are strck after you get to Goa -- although that might take a little bit of leg work.
