You'll find plenty of choice on arrival. I found the "Sea Gull" very nice and neat (just opposite "Magic Italy" Restaurant)

At this season rates are highly negotiable (at least half of curent fares)

Palolem

Yes will be arriving there similar time. Been before and lots of places are clean and tidy, the rooms to the right of the beach by the lagoon bit and other end near river do tend to be more mosquito frequented than others..... but cheap deals as is getting to "end" of season....

Hi,
i'm also planning to be in palolem at the end of march. After spending a month travelling round the south i have promised myself a week or two to sunbathe and pretty much just relax before hitting the north for a few weeks.
i've been there once already and booked a hostel that was mentioned in the lonely planet (sorry i've forgotten the name of it), and when i got there they had given my room away.
so i took a walk and found another one within five minutes. this time i plan to get to the beach find a friendly looking restaurant to leave my bag and then go looking for a shack.
i'm assured it'll be easy to find somewhere as the season ends. maybe nearer the time we should try and arrange a meet up if there are a few of us there.
