Jewellers in Goa?
My girlfriend and i will begetting married next year and while in Goa this holiday (leaving on monday for 3 weeks) we were thinking about buying simple wedding rings there.
Weve been to India a few times before and bought jewellery many times but not something like a wedding ring, usually silver from the Kashmiris. We were thinking something like white gold...has anyone here bought something like this in Goa? Anybody have any reccomendations? Thanks alot! Grant |

I have bought a lot of gold from Goa.I would buy in Mapsa or Panjim, as they sell 18 ,21,24 ct. They will weigh it and then give you a price,so look at the scales to see what it weighs. The shops will give you a receipt. You can read in the paper how much Gold is that day. If its a fancy ring you pay more for the work on it.
I would never buy a ring with a diamond in it from anyone else but a main shop that is there all year round . In this hotel is a very good Jewelery shop . I have met a lot of people that have bought rings of him and had them valued in Uk when they get back and they are all valued at 2-3 times more than what they paid in Goa. Make sure the guy in there has been selling in that hotels for a few years. http://www.nivalink.com/marinhadouraha/index.html |
