Is there any good snorkelling in Goa?

Is it possible to snorkel in Goa or go on a snorkelling day trip? I think probably not as a search of the forum reveals very little, I'm guessing the waters are too murky. If not is there anywhere else in India good for snorkelling?

You can go scuba diving from Bogmalo beach.
