Is the Goan Trance beach party scene really dead?

Hello all. My girlfriend and i are going to northern Goa for three weeks in Mid November. I have been reading that the powers that be have banned the Trance partys. Is this true? That would be a great shame as i was looking forward to experiencing one or two.

No more trance parties. Buy a CD and listen.

Trance scene dead?

I sincerely hope so.

I might even consider going back there if that's the case.

hi.

perhaps you can find some info on the website of one of the most famous dj's of goa trance, goa gil:

http://goagil.com/

i prefer drum and bass myself, so was never interested, though the guy seems interesting.

I am sure there are still some parties. But, they may not by publicised. They will happen in a corner, in a hush hush way. I hope you understand this.

Once you get to Goa, ask the localites, and other tourists, i am sure, they will guide you to the right place.

Or, may be, the trance party scene is completely dead. I dunno.

Its not what you know, but who you know in Goa and dont worry you'll find lots of action when you get here just ask about in Anjuna or Chapora and you'll find something!!!!!! rest assured you wont have a quiet holiday if you don't want too.
