At that time in that place in that world, that was the 'The' sound,
Of course today it would sound 35years out of date.

You are quite right. The really cool parties these days are happening in Eastern Europe in the smaller towns and even in the forests.

Yeah so Ivé heard, Looking in to the hardcore forums of Goa trance it apears that way.... I dont know anyone who been their though, and maybe they are mainly for a "new" genneration anyhow now....

I dont know how cool it would be if Im 32 and everyone else is 21...

You know anyone whos been?

Indeed that music is great. Some of Orbitals stuff is clasic... I allso like the future sound of london CD from that time, but its not verry trance.

Each to their own.
IMHO, Paradiso is the WORST place.
Full of Indians from Mumbai hassling all the Western women.
But then, I don't like trance, hate parties, don't take drugs, I like small groups of people *talking* to each other (impossible at Paradiso), or best, of all, silence and solitude.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the party scene in Goa *IS* dead!

I will second that. Crappy place with crappy sound. These days they charge Rs 200 for every non-white(non Caucasian) person.

Is it all psychedelic goa trance? Ill be in india for christmas and NYE, but i have to say (and i hope i dont offend anyone) i absolutely hate goa trance. Ive been into rave/dance/club/house/"what ever you want to call it" for years and years, but have never been able to get anything from psy trance, and i dont think im going to be able to start just because im in india.

I dont want to just end up in a bar, or some crappy club or something. Is there any chance of finding any garage, deep house, or something. Anything with funk rubbed on it

The only place you will get that type of music is Club Cubana which has a cover charge of Rupees 1000/couple.

I assume you are spending Christmas and NYE in Goa? I would recommend against doing so because the place is overcrowded during this time and you will pay almost double for the same hotel room.

No, I had no plans to be anywhere in particular, I should have been a bit clearer in the first post. Wouldnt mind being near a beach somewhere, and if there is some good partying to be had then good, but if not then so be it - bit old for it anyway ("My legs are grey. My ears are gnarled. My eyes are old and bent").

Thought id find out a bit more though. There is nothing worse than going out with big expectations, getting twisted, and ending up in a club listening to music you hate!!
