don't ask me to name all the stereotypes about India... and the ones you can find in Goa...

I guess "real India" is a picture of stereotypes about India, but the reality is full of exceptions from these stereotypes.

In my opinion the real India lives in villages, if you are really interested to see India in its original form, visit the non tourist places and you will feel the difference. A concept called rural india travel is about to start in a big way.

I've been to many villages, often far away from tourist places, as part of my work. And I wouldn't say small towns and big cities are not "real India"... they are just different...

Culture, customs, the dominating religion differ from state to state or even from area to area, so talking about "real India" is almost like talking about "real Europe"...
