I have been visiting this site for a while, this is definitely greatly helpful the travel community....spam-free makes it even better, cheers to the mod

I am in Goa now trying to decide on a place for inviting the New year. Mapusa, Colva and Anjuna are partly covered, will check out Calangute, Baga and Candolim in the coming few days....if anyone have questions regarding accomodation and atmosphere you can ask me, I will try to help you out

Maybe we can share accomodation if I have to come here all by myself

We're going to Goa at the beginning of next week if all goes to plan. Probably be heading to the North so would be good to have an idea of what accomodation availability is like....

Cheers,
Anna

North Goa has the highest prices for accomodation

If your looking for something close to the beach you mighnot get one....however there is a possibility that you will get accomodation 500m-1 km from the beach or you can try for acc in Mapusa if you plan to hire a bike....Mapusa is close to Anjuna..Calangute and Baga

So nice of you t help us all out!

I will be arriving in Goa on Saturday or Sunday...I really have no idea where to stay, i knw its probably packed. Will be there or two weeks so something rented by the week would be great. I am looking for a good balance between some peace and some parties and would like to rent a bike and do some yoga and of course I would like to spend the majority of my time sun bathing...so what do you think what sounds like the place for me?

Thanks again for your help it really is kind of you!

Question If u pass by Flavios Paradise, Palolem

Hi there.
I arrive in Goa 30th of december and I've heard good things about Flavios Paradise in Palolem (basic but cheap and near the beach). I haven't been able to produce email or phone#, so I cannot book or ask questions.
Thought about booking a hut for New Year and finding "flatmates" when I arrive. If u happen to be in the neighbourhood - it would be super great if u could check it out for me?! Do ya think you will be heading in that direction??

Thanks,
Roger over,
Eva

Eva, even if you were to send an email or make a phone call to any of the guesthouses in Palolem you are unlikely to be able to book a room for 30th Dec. Most guesthouses are not prepared to accept advance bookings unless you pay the entire amount in advance. The reason for this is the fact that many people make tentative bookings and then fail to show up.

Thanks man Pras.
Appreciate the help. Can i ask is it really hard to get accommodation around the 29th-30th Dec. Coz id prefer to stay in some basic accommodation. Dont wanna book proper hotels n all. Or will it be impossible for anything at that time?
Thanks man.....if we around same area should meet up at the time!!
