I think I know my country well enough to know what to do. I speak of Goa like this as I've been going there for many years, so I know where exactly is going to be the wrong place and the wrong time. But that doesn't mean that I'm naive enough to behave this way wherever I travel. You seem to be overtly concerned about the rules you set out for yourself while you're out..and I'm not judging you for it because everyone has a different parameter of comfort. And even in India, you can't get away with possessing drugs by giving a bribe. Anyways,I just think there's no point to this if you're going to jump the gun over someone traveling in a way unacceptable to you.

India. Not everyone in this forum does. 2. The rules I set to myself are my private business. When I write in a forum like Indiamike, I simply don´t take myself as an examplar and therefore take caution with my replies. 3. As I pointed out before, India is a free country and we are all adults, and in no way I´m going to jump the gun over someone travelling in a different way I do. 4. Unacceptable are a lot of things to me. Never ever will it be the way of travelling of other people. There are a lot more urgent matters that matter me in this world. Don´t feel offended, just take it as an intercontinental discussion about a surely complex topic. Here are no judges online, only IM members taking care of each other. Sometimes. ![]() |

Ryan mate, wipe the slate clean. India will jolt you out of your senses. The goans play a mean game of footy as well. So sit back with a Kingfisher lager and soak it all up!

ryan - goa is the nuts, trust me - you can smoke 'tobacco' as long as you are cautious and intelligent about it. I'm going out on the 8th - if you end up in palolem (im my opinion the best beach) go into cafe del mar the evening of the 17th and feel free top join my birthday celebrations.
in the north you get more regular tourists and (sadly) loads of english mugs who must of got lost on the way to ayia napa - aparently arambol is good in the north but if i was you id get a £10 taxi from the airport (ask if anyones going your way and share if you can) straight to palolem. |

That’s awesome dude.
I actually arrive on the 18th at like 6 am. I hope Goa is as nuts as every one says. Now that you have spoke about Palolem I am tempted to go south, what the differences North and South as in party, beach and price wise? |
