Question Howz the weather in Goa now?

Hi, I'm planning to head for goa in the second week of Oct, I heard from some friends that the weather right now is pretty screwed and that there has been some water logging due to heavy rains, can anybody who is there in goa right now please confirm on this information? it would be a really big help as we could consider other destinations. Thanks all

Peace

I will be back in October too. I expect that there will be some showers, but the main rains are over. Everything will be green and gorgeous. Hmmm, can't wait.

I'm heading off to Goa tomorrow - looking forward to seeing Arambol in it's lush green state rather than parched.

Shacks allocation in the next few days. The monsoon returned for 3 weeks but it's dry again now. All over!(we think)
Some of the shacks on private ground have started going up this week. The tides are still high at the moment so the beach shacks will wait a few more weeks. UK charters start Oct but they're expecting first week Nov to get busy.

Useful info goangoangone, do you think that I should pre-book accommodation? I plan to be in Palolem for for one week, first week in November but thought that I would just turn up.

I'd forgotten about the high tides, though (that goangoangone mentions).

Is there gonna be a beach there when I get to Arambol?

Around Colva/Majorda/Utorda, it looks like the beaches are bigger than last year!

Yes, Arambol looks fine, too.

I think this is a great time of year to be here - weather's humid but bearable and the place is still pretty quiet. The 'off-season' discounts on accommodation are staggering!

I'll be here for quite a bit, think.

Most of the shacks here are aiming to be up and running within the next week or two. There's already loads of nice places to eat etc.

The place has a sort of 'pre-festival' feel to it: I'm enjoying it a lot.
