How's Palolem right now?

My knowledge of South Goa is rather dated so on my upcoming visit this month I plan to spend a couple of days in a South Goa beach hotel. Is there anyone who can give an idea of people count on Palolem at this time? And, how hard is it raining in Goa?

thanks in advance.

Raining quite a bit. Don't know about Palolem right now but in monsoon time Palolem is not a suitable place to spend your vacation.

Smile Planning to visit palolem in the first week of September

Hi Folks,

I am planning to come down to Palolem in the first week of September for a 3 day trip.

Will be spending 2 days in Palolem and 1 day in Baga.

I have a few questions, would really appreciate if you can help me out:

1. If i step out of the airport and bargain with a taxi driver for a drop at Palolem, what price should i be bargaining for? (My hotel guy gave me a quote of rs. 1500 - which i thought was exorbitant)

2. Since, it is the Monsoon season, is kayaking on at Palolem at this time?

3. Is being at Palolem at this time of the year really a bad idea? If NO, then what are the activities that i can look forward to?

4. I am really into continental cuisine. Do we have enough shacks/restaurants open in the off-season which serve this cuisine?

Looking forward for your response.
