How safe is nivalink.com and indiatravelite.com?

I have been making some plans to spend 26/27/28 Jan in Goa, but most of the hotels I dial into say they are full. However, sites like nivalink and indiatravelite seem to have room quotas in some hotels.

Before proceeding to do business with them, wanted to ask the community if they are safe, or not? Any bad incidences with them you had? Will my money and reservation be in safe hands?

Thanks,
Anand

Indiatravelite- never tried so can't comment. My experience with Nivalink was horrible- though it was for Ladakh and not Goa. They made the bookings for us in hotels and never even informed them about when we were arriving. If we did not have the printout of the email, the hotels were not even ready to accommodate us. At one of the camps, they charged us 2500 per person for a night. When we went to the site, we found out that the actual charges were Rs 1500. Even in this camp, they had no clue that are group was arriving. On our return, we had to send them many mails and post a complaint in an online forum. Even then, they refunded the money only partially. I'm never dealing with Nivalink again.

by the way, try this hotel- Melodious Waves in Candolim (google it). I've stayed there thrice, they always seem to have some capacity, since they don't advertise much. Its 2 mins from the beach. A budget hotel- costs around 2k/ night on twin sharing even in the peak season.
