How are beaches in South Goa (around Colva) in late March/April?

Hi,

last time I visited Goa in January 2005 I remember some local saying that already in March the water will rise extremely high... like tens of meters.

Ummm.. we´re going there during our trip and I was just wondering that is it really so or did I hear wrong or maybe don´t remember correctly. It would be sad if the beach is really narrow.. you can´t really cycle along it if it is etc. Of course the water rises at certain times bacause of the tides but I mean does it still in March/April in the daytime look something like in this pic that I took during our last stay...(colva beach)

No need to worry. You will have plenty of sand to cycle on in late March. Only during the monsoon does the beach get covered.
