Hotels In Anjuna - Goa

I am going to Goa, alone on 14th January and am looking for somewhere to stay, mid range for a few nights then I am able to go off and find somewhere cheaper for maybe a month. I like to party so presume Anjuna would be the best place for me to stay, can anyone recommend a good place and give me details for booking, also somewhere good I may be able to rent for a while. I am alone and have found some parts of India quite daunting so want to feel safe. please help!!
Thanks

What is the point of copying and pasting a list of hotels when you yourself don't have the faintest idea whether these hotels are good or not. To add insult to injury you have copied that list from a travel forum which is a rival to India Mike.

Is Anjuna The Right Place?

Thanks for your responses, after reading a few posts I am now not sure if Anjuna is the right place to go. The Mis-Guide book is quite confusing. Basically I want to go and chill out for a while on a nice beach where I can meet some people but be close enough to hit the parties in Anjuna. Any recommendations? I'm confused. Thanks
