Hippies in Goa

Hi , i am looking for a kind of spiritual community in Goa for Hippies and other like minded people. Does anybody know of anything? I know that there are still some Hippies left from the 70ies, but that there are less and less nowadays... would just be interested in finding out more ,

Is Gokarna a better place to visit than Goa during Nov-Dec? Like, is it as overrun by crowds as Goa is or the scenario there is completely different?

Better, i dont know, im a drinker, not a smoker, so Goa is better for me, but not the awful package tourists in Gokarna, go down for a week or two and have a look, i usualy have at least a week in Gokarna every season, love the place.
Gokarna is very different than Goa.
