I haven't stopped there myself, but have stopped in Candolim for the last 7 years and have been in for a few drinks.
It is reputedly one one of the better hotels in the area, and if I were looking to stop in a hotel, would be one I went for. We were looking at buying a two bed appartment at the HBR, where they are extending at the rear. I think that there is still some building work going on there and at the next door plot. I have heard comments that this isn't a problem, as most work is done my hand very with little heavy plant or machinery around and is only during the day, when you'll be out and about. Have a good time. ![]() |

The hotel is nice but it must be one of the dearest places in Goa to by food and drink. They have a big sign on the wall near the reception area advising you not to eat anywhere other than the hotel because you are likely to catch some stomach complaint due to the lack of hygene everywhere else. If you stay there, completely igonore this and enjoy the food at many of the restaurants and beach shacks that are on offer in north Goa. In December they were still completing building work but it didn't appear to be causing any complaints from the guests at the hotel.

We stayed there in Dec 2004. We thought it was lovely and really enjoyed our stay there, the only drawback was the distance away from the beaches. I'm not sure what it is like now but I've heard it has been extended and is now much bigger.

Highland beach resort
I have stayed at this resort twice and will fully recommend it. Staff are good, apartments are great. 4 swimming pools, club house, resturant. The location is ideal, close to beach and shops and loads of resturants.

Highland beach resort, good location but the beds are very hard by European standards.
