Hi from a newbie needing help

Hi

Very newbie Forum member here, who really needs some advice from you kind people. I posted earlier but havent had much luck with replies, so if any body feels they can help please reply.

I am looking to go to Goa for a period of time as my marriage circumstances are about to change here in the UK and I need to get away and clear my head. I have friends who have been to Goa and there experiences and comments make me feel I could fit in there well, but who knows?

I would like some advice on whether Arambol would be a good place for a 40 year old, normally, happy go lucky man can find some inner peace, evaluate his life but still party now and again?

I would more than likely be staying about 4 months, if I can get a visa for that long, and if things are good then would like to stay for longer, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

If anybody has some tips, help, advice, general comments or any information that you may think I would need to know please reply.

thanks in advance

Bertie

Wink Thanks Goangoangone

Thanks Goangoangone

The visa information is very helpful and the comment actually made me laugh out loud. First time in a while.
Do you spend much time out in Goa? Do you have a favourite area?

I have travelled a lot when I was younger and understand the difference in lifestyles, culture and what is to expect from accomodation.

If there is anybody else out there who fancies chipping in their twopenneth please do , as any information be it negative or positive will be a major help.

I've only been there once but I've also travelled a fair bit. It's only one of two places where I felt comfortable and relaxed. The other was Tuscany. The South is quietest, which suits me. If I need some "noise", I can easily find it. I'll give it a go. If it doesn't work out then it's a holiday, and cheaper than staying here.

Smile Thanks Goan & Hash

Thanks for the replies Goan & Hash

Seems more likely every day that I wll be heading out after Xmas.

As you say GoanGoanGone treat it as a long holiday and all it can be is fun.

If any other nice people fancy giving some free advice and help to a 40 year old looking to rediscover himself please feel free.

Thanks

bertie

I'm heading out to Goa with my mate on the 6th as well. Never know we might be on the same plane (we're flying direct from gatwick). Anyways see you out there maybe.
