help me to plan trip to goa

i am coming to goa with family on 30 th april. we will be reaching goa around 11.00 a.m. at madgaon. we hav booked a room at vista de rio, which i believe is near panaji. we will be returning on 2nd may around 1.00 p.m.
pls help us to plan our days in goa. we wld like to hav a feel of the beaches of goa, visit the monumental places, and also do some shopping, which we hav heard goa is famous for.
does anyone hav any idea about this hotel... how far its from the city.. also what abt the climate will be like these days?
anyway thanxs in advance for all those who care to help..

Compared with, say, Bombay, Goa is rubbish for shopping and comparatively expensive. That is unless by shopping you mean tourist tat in which case there is plenty of that. Even imported commodities, for example Nescafe coffee, are at least twice the price charged in Bombay.................

I hope you realise that TA is owned by vested interests and its impartiality is questionable?

of course like most things on the net, the're subject to opinion, IM for example is 50/50 between biased opinion and actual fact. TA is much the same, places with lots of reviews gives you a good idea of what the place is like, its not gospel but does give you an idea at least as what to expect.
