Good places to eat out in Goa

Could someone recommend any good places to eat out in Goa? Both Catholic and Hindu. Also food from within Goa and the rest of India, and the globe? Any good experiences? Any bad ones? Rgds, FN

I can recommend Chef Fernando's restaurant 'Nostalgia' near Margao. Really good authentic Goan food ~ the restaurant has a wonderful ambience and the decor wonderful.

We visited Fiesta which is located in Baga, opposite of Tito´s. The place was excellent! The atmosphere and interiors were beautiful and food, which was mainly italian, was very good. The place is very exceptional in Goa. It´s also above the average prices, a bit expensive, but not too much.
I can definitely recommend!

Greg's Cafe on Calungute beach - best Indian/Goan food have had in India! The chef, Ashok - 1st class. Not so easy to find but worth it. Greg the owner is lovely too, very helpful and organises a great trip to an amazing waterfall!

Agree with that. Also in Calangute, I think it's called Redondo, or Red India. (Dyslexia damn!) It's on a corner, and has one of the coolest waiters working there who cracks the best jokes. It's next to the Vanessa cinema.

A Fairly New restaurant/bar in Arpora i can highly recommend is The Spice Oven.(multi cuisine)
Excellant food and drink and the owners and waiters are great.
The ice is all made from bottled water and the prices are very very good.
The bar is at the front and this place has become a great hangout for expats and indians alike.
Regular customers get 10% discount. This little place also has first class western toilet which is always very clean.Ask for Rana or Joe make yourself known and you will be well looked after.
Also the Midus Touch in Candolim and the Pagoda on Baga Road.
East meets West on Baga Road also for a touch of class.

I also can recomend Souza Lobo in Calangute. Very tasty food but little bit of expensive place to eat out. And also Big banana in Calangute is good place to eat steaks.
