Goa Virgin...

Howdy all,
I arrive in Goa on the 19th for 2 weeks and want to make sure i make the most of my time there, so hope you can help..

I'm solely intent on indulging myself in the pleasures of the senses - nightlife, parties, raves, mind expanding substances etc. so first and foremost need to know which area is most suitable for this and most conjusive for meeting like-minded hedonists?

Once I've established the area, I need to find accomodation. Ideally, I'd like to rent my own appartment or large en-suite double room with balcony close to the action and the beach.
I've been quoted £20 for a double room in Anjuna but this seems quite steep, no?

Also, any advice on the rave/trance party scene? Where to find out what's going on and when etc?

That's about it. Hope I haven't asked too much for my first post (the cheek of it!

Head for Vagator, and try the Hilltop, Steve the owner had some decent rooms last March, doubles with shower and toilet a/c for about 400 rps a night. You wont be too far from any party action either (if of course there is any).

Hilltop is a good option;provided they have vacant rooms to let at that time of the year.If there are any all night parties happening in the Anjuna/Vagator area you would be close to the action too.
As you want info on "nightlife, parties, raves, mind expanding substances etc. " and places to meet "like-minded hedonists",the India section of the Isratrance forum would be a more appropriate place to start with.There you would find others sharing your interests discussing and sharing the latest news about the forthcoming parties and suitable accomodation nearby.

Isratrance has locked its India thread for the time being, there is a reason given but being lazy I can`t be bothered to read it all

I`m sure there will be someone kicking about to point you in the right direction
