Goa rent, 6 months: Arambol-Chapora-Vagator-Anjuna areas?
Goa rent, 6 months: Arambol-Chapora-Vagator-Anjuna areas?
Hi to all! Im coming to Goa in october for 5-6 months and one question is very important for me:
How much it would cost per month to rent a house with electricity in Arambol-Chapora-Vagator-Anjuna -district? Only information, what I have found, is that houses would cost about 2000-5000rp/month. Is that true? Electricity is important and western toilet etc. would be nice (but dream?). Size of the house should be over 50 square metres. Is it easy to get a house in mid-october? Im VERY thankfull if you can answer to me.
-Toni
Ps. Sorry my bad english

TAU Well you will be in Goa before the charter flights get there so you should have a good selection of houses to live in.
I am sure there is no way you can rent a house in Anjuna for 2000--5000rs a month its going to cost more than that .
Much too "hippy" for me in Anjuna, these are bit quieter Chapora-Vagator. Arambol, hippy as well .

TAU,Sorry i dont really know how much the houses are to rent in Arambol +Chapora.I always stay Baga. The rents for apartments in Baga for me are about 10.000rs .I have friends who get apartments for 4.000rs a month.
There are 2 little gorgeous houses in Mandrem 2 steps off the beach ,but i think like Arambol they get rented by the same people each year.
The drive to Arambol the coast way as you go over the bridge after Chapora there are always signs up saying "houses for rent"

TAU,yes thats a good idea .Longer you are staying in Goa the cheaper you should get house/apt for .Check that rent includes electric in the price,if not take your own reading.4months in Goa last season and my electric bill was 450 rs ! i have washing machine, electric shower and the fan always stays on.
Oh i bought my own scooter a few years back and end up driving to Maharashtra way past Arambo
Get a international driving license as the police are very hot on that, cause its easy money for them to fine you what they want.

A basic house(usually a living room, bedroom and bathroom and a small verandah) in Anjuna village about 1 km from the beach can be had for Rs 3000/month or 12000 for the entire tourist season from October-April. Keep in mind this is Goan village style accommodation and is normally rented by young European backpackers, not the type that is available in Candolim or Calangute and which is rented by middle aged Europeans arriving on charter flights. Assagaon
You could possibly rent out a much house cheaper in Assagaon .
Really ! That cheap ? yipes i have been robed for years with the rents i have been paying.
But i go to Goa on my own and i wouldnt want to be in a house in Anjuna on my own.I dont even take apartments that are on ground floor .

You are comparing apples to oranges. You mentioned that you are renting in Baga which is much more expensive and catering to a different demographic. hi patti: i am heading to goa for 6 months (single traveler) and want to rent in a quiet area that is a scooter ride to beach (so not beachfront) that is known to be safer-can rent on first floor...what's your rec? my budget is around 6,000inr/mo
You can contact on following numbers. This person rents his place only for long term(like 6 months or so) and rent wont be that expensive as you mentioned above. People were friendly & helpful.
