hi

We, are a mix group of 3-4 boys & girls (age 24-29years), and will be Goa from somewhere between 20th dec to 5 jan.

Can somebody recommend a good beach hut/room or something like that to stay in North Goa? We would like to look out to Sea! I was told that there are no such hotels in North Goa or they are very expensive. AC not required but a TV would be nice. Budget is around Rs. 1000 for a double per night.

One of our friends stayed at Hotel Vinchy in South Goa last year and he said that it was cheap and nice. But we prefer to stay in North.

Or if Sea view is not easy then any recommendations for a Cheap but big hotel/guest house with lot of travellers with whom we can team up to party and get a hang of the local scene?

our rooms are right on Baga beach overlooking the sea.. it cost us about $650 for 4 nights for 2 people. I would recommend you my motel but it seems out of budget for you. If you need my travel agent's number, let me know and I will give it to you. However, reserve your room as soon as possible.. or if anyone still has not reserved flights to or from Goa.. do so as soon as possible.. I waited to do mine and all the airline prices went up almost 50%.

Which place is that? I noticed that you have used the word "motel" to describe the place where you have booked. Just feel that I should let you know that there are no motels in Baga or for that matter near any beach in Goa. The motel concept which is distinctly North American does not exist in Goa.

Chill out man!! I meant hotel.. I am just too used to using the word "motel".. anyway.. place I am staying at are cottages on Baga beach "Seaview Cottages".. I just wanted something really close to the beach and clubs, therefore I chose this place.. tito's and mambo's are like 5 mins walk from my place..

Goa tourism has the package tours likewise there are pvt. operators likes Gomes, Quickways or Lourds. But u can go independent by hiring bike/ car/ jeep.

Its always better to plan your own travel well in advance & do the homework before. Still, you do come across some great travel deals which you just can't get your eye off.

As for Christmas & New Year's, I'm sure the package would be doable . The atmosphere makes it all. Festive Season ofcourse.

Merci mec!

I didn't know about that festival. I just reserved my hotel room in Calangute for Christmas and New Year. It wasn't cheap though.

I hope it's not too difficult to get from my place to Sunburn festival!

Hi there,
I'll be in Goa for the 29th and looking foward to trance parties for the NY's eve. Then staying for some more days.

Some people told me that places closes at 10 pm and it is forbidden to party later. Is that true?

So how and where can I find nice day trance parties? Anjuna? Arambol? Or should I forget about this?

Thank you in advance!

shanti

Shanti, my friend. The best psy-trance party happening on New Years Eve will be at the Hill Top in Vagator and usually goes on for a good 24 hours. The Nine Bar in Vagator is a trance music bar/club that starts around sun-set, but the music has to stop at ten o'clock. Stunning views over the coastline from here as well.
