GOA new years??!!

ok.....so it seems i have stumbled upon a debate....what's the stance on Goa for new years...??

I have heard responses ranging from "amazing energy...super parties" to "what a dump, too many people and psychos"...

So what's the deal? YAY or NAY??....I'm up for a party (the bigger the better)....

Who in IM have been in Goa for new years? is it bearable or better to head down there after the new years rush?
Please help!!!

I have not been to Goa for New Years, but heard great things about it while I was there last Nov. I hear clubs really jack up the rates.. Club Cubana (http://www.clubcubana.net/) was charging USD $40. . I hear there are a lot of beach parties too, which may very well be less expensive. Here are some reviews -- http://www.virtualtourist.com/vt/10c207/5/235b/

Are there any other IM'ers who plan to be in Goa for New Years?

Goa or Mumbai

In a bit of a pickle myself, can't decide on whether to spend Xmas in Goa and head off to a 'big' city like Mumbai for New Years ...

yep,
but more spread out, not concentrated on 1 beach
if the party starts it probably won't end for 10 days, jumping from 1 location to the other.. good to have a bike
crazy place

but both koh pangan and goa are crazy places in the world full of dopeshit and lunatiks.. gotta love it when your still young..

Thumbs up its hot

the best bet is that u can hop skip & jump among the various parties happening on all the beaches .....
start wih vagator & work your way down till the time your energy lasts...
i made it till calangute last year.....
got up in the morn in a strange room with people i had never met before.... my partner had the same experience...
check it out it really rocks...
just be careful of what you drink or smoke....

yeah goa for new years

I spent my last 2 new years in Goa and it was great... Just go get a hotel room close to the beach and you'll have a blast.

Thanks for encouragement...let me see how does it work out...

by the Rs.2000 per day per person....would it be good enough to survive there..

In 2000/- a day you can have great party time and even afford to invite me for a booze.

Goa is not so expensive except accommodation in the December end.
