Goa long term, but where there?
Hello IM!
I'd like to go back to Goa, again for a long period of time. How's your opinion & experience, which would be the best place to live and which to avoid?

Hurry up people. Answer kohinoor. I want to know that too.
I (personally) want to find a nice beach hut/house where I can stretch a hammock, crack me laptop, and finish my memoirs undisturbed. ahhh... |

Most huts are far North or South. For instance Palolem, as already mentioned and nearby Agonda. Of course, in monsoon the huts are taken down. If you're serious about long stay, and in monsoon, you may like to be near a town or busier place if you want a choice of restaurants, bars and shops etc. For instance, Benaulim is quiet but nearby you've got Colva and Margao. Swinging in a hammock watching rain for days on end ain't much fun.

Legend has it that once when Parasurama was seeking a place to meditate, he decided to shoot an arrow and go wherever it fell. The arrow fell into the Arabian Sea. The waters parted, creating an idyllic land - Goa.

I saw North Goa, Calangute and Candolim, close to almost everything, but bit far from happening, anyway they were good and handy, very western (though), and I was just thinking should I try some other place. Anjuna is attracting, but it might be too dangerous to live alone there? Vagator might be the same, but also I've the impression there's not enough services, am I right? And services lessen when you head more north, isn't it? Arambol might be nice otherwise. Maybe the main guestion is, how would the South be? |

South is quieter. Find somewhere comfortable where you already know, get some transport and go!
