Goa Itinery
Hi All,
Visiting Goa for the first time wife and two kids aged 6 and 4 between 12th Oct to 19th Oct. A friend of mine is booked us in Royal Goan Beach Club in Arpora/Bardez. Have anybody heard of this place? How far it is from the Margao Railway station? We are traveling from Bangalore by train and will reach on 13th Oct morning and will leave on 19th evening. We want to see everything in Goa (Beaches/temples/old goa etc)so what could be an ideal itinery? What mode of transportation will be the best? Is there any nightlife in and around the resort? Suggestions/advise to make this trip more enjoyable is most welcome. |

To get around you will have to take tourist taxis which are available in plenty. As far as nightlife is concerned there are several pubs and restaurants in Baga which is just 5 minutes away across the Baga river. |

3 days for the North and 2 days for the South should be adequate.
In the North you can, 1st day ------- Go to Old Goa, Chorao(bird Sanctuary), on the way back you can stroll through Panjim and go to Dona Paula. 2nd day -------- Go to Morjim beach, Arambol and Fort Terekol 3rd day -------- Big Foot(Lotoulim), Margao city, Colva beach, Benaulim beach 4th day ------- Cavelossim beach, Palolem beach 5th day -------All the nearby places from your hotel like Fort Aguada, Sinquerim(many Hindi movies are shot here), Coco beach, Candolim, Calangute. To reduce taxi expenses, on the first day choose one driver and inform him that you will be using his taxi everyday and accordingly he should give you a lower rate. You can tell the driver to pick you up at the same time from the hotel every day. Most drivers have cellphones and you can call him whenever it is convenient. |
