Don't get upset...

The same that my has to do with Goa...that 'Indians' get their food and drinks from home ...

You have generalized a lot of things, and I can generalize that Britishers coming to Goa think that they are running it and they understand the entire structure of the place...so whenever we have a discussion on this forum involving role of FN in Goa there is alwasy a Britisher whining at the other end...

Seems to be some pretty strong attitudes on this forum that overseas foreigners should get out and give Goa to Indians, who are also foreigners from the Goan perspective. That would make an International airport about as useful as tits on a boar.

What would help would be less of certain kinds of Indian tourist and less of certain kinds of overseas tourist. Then peaceful family people of all kinds could enjoy a lovely vacation spot together. Might not be as much money in it, but as has been pointed out in other places, the tourist trade is not that large a part of either Indian or Goan economy.

Yes. And equally strong attitudes from some foreigners in Goa, too.

No one is asking for the tourist to get out...but stop cribbing about Indian tourists and FN contribution to the Goan Economy...

More often then not they try to debate Goan VS Rest of Indian on this forum, which is not acceptable..

It is clear that tourists, whether Indian or western, come to Goa for their own self interest and not because the locals of someone else's benefit from it..

And you are saying that we are asking the FN to get out....on the contrary I feel that FN wants Goa to themselves and keep on complaining about Indian tourists...they completely forget that its an Indian state and is expected to be similar to other places in India...i.e. full of Indians..

Well this might be a completely unacceptable attitude, but banning everyone under forty who is not accompanied by a parent or guardian from Goan beaches would quiet things down a lot.

That being manifestly impossible, trippling the cost of alcohol, shutting down bars restaurants and knicknack sellers at 9pm and tearing down any any hotel renting rooms for less than 1000rs per night would discourage the demographic that is causing the most problems. Without the customers the dope problem will take care of itself.

Any family can get itself fed by nine, Mom and Dad can have two drinks, listen to a little music and the whole country can be tucked into bed by ten. It's just a matter of political will. India is not required to cater to depravity, it's got lots a great assets without that.

Not really agreeing with these proposals , but two reasons why this won't happen

- the loss of revenue to the exchequer. (aside, at one time, before Goa became a state and was still a Union Territory, like Delhi was- booze was cheapest in the country there)
-the loss of revenue to corrupt officials.
