Goa in the first week of June

I'm off to Goa for 6 days of well deserved rest the first week of June. I will be staying near calangute as that's were friends live but just wondered how the weather is at the moment and if everything- shops, shacks etc have all closed down now. Any comments gratefully recieved.

Thanks

nicky

Shacks will be closed but the bigger restaurants which are not on the beach will be open. You are likely to experience sporadic rain showers with thunder and lightning.

Thunderstorms have started. The monsoon was predicted to be a week early but then somebody changed their mind. You might get wet!

Hi Nickyl,

I was in Goa recently... from 16th May till 21st, and yes most of the shacks are closed now. But you may get lucky! Some of the shacks were open at Baga Beach( Very near to Calangute) and others when I was there and was able to indulge in Para-sailing and Jetskiing!!

You may want to check the Palolem beach too... as its one of the best!

Though you are a bit late as Monsoon is gonna start anytime there however, if you are lucky enough(like we were!) you will have a very nice time!! Goodluck!
