Cool Goa in september

Hi goa experts,
i'm planning a Goa trip in last week of september and i have a few doubts regarding:
1. Frequency of rains during that period
2.Safety on beaches for swimming
3.availability of Watersports
4. Nightlife.

1) Less/no rains but one can not predict nowdays

2) No worries you can enter the sea

3) Should be present on the popular ones atleast like Baga etc.

4) mambos at baga would be operational for sure. One two spots at Anjuna might be operational.

1.

Disagree

1).The way the monsoon is going this year more than likely you will get rain.

2) the sea will be still too rough to go swimming.

3) no chance of watersports till mid October at the earliest.

4) Nightlife still limited but some clubs open all year round..

Yes John, if the rains are delayed then one can except it to rain in Sept, which is lead the sea to be rough and hence no water sports !

Possibly John, this was based on my visit to Goa last year at Sept end..

I will strongly disagree with that. September is by no means safe for swimming. Nightlife is limited at best. As it is the nightlife in Goa was very disappointing last season even in December.

Thanks guys for the info, but i believe it would be less crowded, cleaner and a lot cheap than peak season.

Hey, i went at the end of September last year....It is very very quiet...However, we really enjoyed ourselves anyways..There was lostsa rain, but mostly in the evening...And some evenings it poured like crazy. Some days it didn't rain at all..

Nobody was swimming in the sea that i saw...and the beaches were kinda dirty.

But everything is lush...there are barely any tourists, and it is way cheaper...

There were no markets open, but we shopped in Panjim.

If u really wanna go then..i would go...u will have fun!!

Also i would recommend the Lemon Tree Hotel in Candolim..

I really don't think that watersports were available as the sea is too rough at that time.....U will have to settle with swimming in the hotel pool if u go at that time of the year!!

Thumbs up Best time to travel Goa !

We experienced on our last trip to GOA the best time of the seaosn to be there.

1st and 2nd week of december is the best time to travel. The crowd is gr8...the rates are nominal cause it picks up from 20th Dec onwards for the season and the entire Goa is in festive mood....

Thanks
Shailendra

Well....if u go there with a good attitude and make the best of it...u can expect to have a great time, whether it be raining or sunshine...

As i said, we were there last September, and still had a great time, despite alot of things weren't open and that there was some rain.....We did alot in Panjim..u can still go to local bars (not beach shacks) and u can swim at the pool at your hotel...

If u do go, i hope u enjoy yourself!!
