Goa in September: Baga or Benaulim?

Dear IMers, you are about to be rid of us as we are close to the last decision. Of course I will be back, eventually, but first I have to fly and travel to a few places starting with Goa.

OK, for the guide book, we chose RG. It was available at our local Borders, while LP would have to be ordered, and that clinched the deal.

Of the 3 nights, which may get stretched to 4 but no more, I think we'd spend one at Panjim Inn. The remaining ones at some beach, but which one?!?!?!?

With RG in our hands, we are trying to choose between Baga and Banulim. Anybody know them both?

What is likely to be the best experience in September (low season)?
