Goa in mid - June 2012
Hi!
I am thinking of visiting Goa during the second/third week of June this year. I have been to North Goa before. Want to explore the southern part this time around.
had a few things to ask -
-I am looking for a beach side accommodation. Suggestions with websites or phone numbers of such places would be helpful
-what all inland places are there to explore?
-Is the weather during this time rough?
-Will the beaches be relatively inaccessible due to such weather?
thanks

1) As you are going in mid-june, i am assuming that you will stay in calangute-baga only as all other beaches will be deserted during that time. Go to cleartrip.com and find it. They are having 50% discount currently if you stay for 5 days in any hotel.
2) Inland places are : panaji, basillica of bom jesus, old churches, etc..
3) Yeah it will be raining
4) you may be able to access beach if it doesn't rain during your stay.
Local Language : Gujarati lago chho...jalsa karjo ane varshad ni chinta na karta..shree sagar (south indian, snacks) and jiya's (punjabi) aa be hotel jamava mate sari chhe..banne calangute ma chhe..

hi! thanks for the reply.. i need a break, and this is the only time i can have it, and goa is the only place for an escape of the kind that i am looking for right now..

hope atleast the roads are accessible..
The roads will be accessible. Beaches tend to shrink or disappear with higher waters.

GoanGoan......here & there

thanks!!
am looking for a beach side resort/hotel for accomodation..
i looked up on the web, called up a few places that were appealing only to find that they do not function from june to oct.
if you could suggest a few that are comfortable as well as exotic..
budget is not much of a problem..
Goa is the finest of tourist destinations in India, beaches are the major attractions of Goa. Dona paula beach is most popular in Goa. There are many more beaches like Anjuna beach, Baga beach, colva beach and many more..If you are planning to visit goa on holidays don't miss out the places that i have just mentioned...

Gotta be the Worst post i've ever seen on this site. Monsoon delayed
Goa is beautiful during the monsoons, more if you just want to relax. Roads are accessible, sea is best avoided. All the high end Hotels and Resorts, and a few Guesthouses, are accepting visitors with huge discounts available. Check www.planet-goa.com, the website has listings of quite a few place that are going to be open during the monsoons. Hire a bike and head out in the rains, and you will have the time of your life!!!!
They do not know very good Latin, these botanists.!!!

thanks man!
relaxing is exactly what i want to do..

and, of course, riding in the rains..
nirvana..
Apart from many beaches (Colvo, Agonda, Benaulim, Palolem, etc) in S. Goa, you can visit DoodhSagar falls. You can catch a morning train to the falls from Madgaon.
Also you can travel to the beaches of Gokarna in North Karnataka. I felt them very beautiful and less crowded than those in Goa. If weather permits you can trek the cliffs to the Kudle, Om and Paradise beach from near Gokarna temple.
