Goa in Mid Jan

Hi,

I am planning for a trip to goa in Mid Jan and plan on staying in Vasco. Have been to Goa many times and always stayed at Baga or Calangute. How far is Baga from Vasco ?Is the night life in Vasco as happening as Baga ot Anjuna ?

Any good places, eateries & pubs not to be missed ?

Thanks for your replies..

Vasco - Reviewed

I wouldn suggest to stay in vasco... I had been there last time and stayed for a night before heading back to baga.

Vasco is about 30 kms from baga (maybe more, taking into account that there are 2 ways to get there). Night life is always good around calangute/baga/anjuna.... Anywhere else i might have missed, but my understanding is Vasco is not a nice place to stay.

When you are at it, why dont u check Colva out. It is a nice place and a calm place to visit. You get accomodation right on the beach, so maybe you want to check it out.

Baga and around that area, is the premier place in Goa for good clubs and pubs. I most likely will be staying in Calangute/Baga once again, but that's because I'm such a tourist.

I live about 6 Km from Vasco so i would advise against staying there. It's mainly a working port town and the nightlife is non existant.

If he's anything like his picture, the good baba won't last too long there anyway.
