Goa in June?
Goa in June?
Iīm thinking about going to Goa in June, i know itīll be hot, humid and rainy. I donīt mind the rain though. Is it doable (sp) at this time of year? Or should i rethink my plans?
Money is like a sixth sense without which you cannot make a complete use of the other five.

Before the rains, Goa is very hot.
Doable, yes, but I would do it that time of the year only if I planned to stay in an airconditioned hotel with a pool- and didn't plan to roam around too long in the heat.

And after the first week of June, when the rains arrive, you will be carrying your own swimming pool around with you!
You will read a lot of rubbish on here about how wonderful Goa is in the monsoon..........unless you have a torrential rain and mud fetish, or have spent the preceeding two months somewhere unpleasantly hot and dry (as many Indians will have done), then dont bother.

you wont drown as long as your careful, the monsoons in Goa have rain falling most of the time and its predictable that it will rain for few hours/days so you will have your raincoat and other weather gear put to full use,at least it wont be like in some places like the UK, the sun will be out and you will decide to take a nice walk and your welcomed suddenly by rain or sometimes you will put on all your raincoats etc and feel like a fool on the street cos the rain would have stopped all of a sudden and the sun will be shining like it never rained at all!
Good summary of the UK GxMx!

You what? Visiting Goa in June 2011
Hi All,
Its really scary after reading the above posts. My tickets are booked and we are reaching Goa on the 1st week of June at Madgaon, from where we plan to go to Baga beach and stay there for 3-4 days. Any last minute suggestion?
