Goa in July
Hi everybody,
I've been to India during january always but this year planning to go in july. Which is monsoon, I've read about it in several threads here. What I am not sure about though is the sun, will I be able to get some hours of sun each day or is weaterunderground.com correct that most of the time it's raining, misty, overcast or drizzling? I don't mind a good downpoor but I also want to get some sun..at the moment I am thinking of going to Goa but info on other areas within the same range of Mumbai/Pune is very much welcome too. Hope some people can give detailed account of the weather in july. thanks!! Arupam (currently in the Netherlands) |

No sun i'm afraid, mainly overcast, hot, humid and wet, do get the odd days without any rain but mainly raincoat time, august/sept you may be able to go for a swim in a pool of course the sea is deadly that time of year, there are some hard standing shacks on the beach. many bars and resturants stay open nowadays, still some nightlife but hardly any taxi's !!! wonderful!! no hawkers or beggers !! plenty of domestic(indian) tourists.
