Goa in July end

Hi Friends,

I am planning a 9 day trip to Goa in July end.
My friends tell me that July End would be Monsoon season and Goa would not be a great place.

Things would be cheap (Since this would be off season), however almost everything would be closed.

Swimming would not be a good idea

There would be no one on the beach!

et. all

Just wanted to know your views.

All true more or less, better go to the mountains, though will be raining there also.

Late July is not a good time to visit Goa.

This is something i have mentioned time and again on the website..Goa in the monsoons is a different experience in-itself, theres nothing like bad weather when it comes to travel..some people hate the rain some love it...depends on what you want...

..maybe you could just go for 2 odd days and then move on to someplace else...?

I've been to Goa on several occasions - but my best trip was the one in monsoon of 2005. Goa is different in the monsoons - very beautiful.

However - as stated earlier in this thread - each one to himself (!) when it comes to holidaying during the rains!!
