It's actually a mailing list turned into a newsgroup and made web based.

I'd urge people to have a look there and join that Goa list if you have specific questions. Espcially going back to decades of finding

places
long lost friends/relatives
X (where teasure is buried)

Not to swing people out of IM but it seems very Goa specific with a lot of Goanese out there.

During the Portuguese role the colonial masters used to call the locals "Goanese". The local populace would like to put this behind them.

Some people take offence to being called "Goanese" ... in a post-colonial context, they probably find it patronising and too similar to Portuguese :-)

There have been long debates on this subject on Goanet.

I wouldn't bother too much, but just gently remind the person addressing me thus that the term is incorrect....

Must warn you, the load can be a bit high (so opt for the digest version if needed), and verrrrry Goa-focussed. Sometimes the debates get rather heated. The current obsession is about copyright issues.
