Return after 27 years

My wife and I spent 4 months in Benaulim in 1981/82 we shall be returning in November (not Benaulim) for a 8 week chill out.
We were teenagers at the time unmarried and probably saw the last of the "Hippy" period.
We do not intend visiting Benaulim though we may not be able to resist the temptation.
Agonda here we come.

Hi!

The rush seems to be lesser this year for Goa, but all guest-houses and hotels are asking for very steeply hiked prices in 3rd and fourth week of December.

I could'nt understand the reason behind these un-reasonable prices.

Why prices are so high this year despite lower tourist turnover

Me staying in North from 25th Dec-30th Dec and later heading to Palolem for New Years where i will be staying until 3rd Jan.

This will be my 4th consecutive New Year in Goa and third Sunburn fest attendance.

This year looks to be really massive!

Ashmeet, is this your first time in Goa? October to Mid Feb is the peak season. Tourists from different parts of the world come together for X-mas and NYE. The hotels do want to cash in on the tourists. It's a common phenomenon.

Don't lose heart. You can always find budget accomodation ranging between Rs 500 and Rs 1000. Just have to keep looking.

Always remember to book early.

This might help you :

Good luck, hope you get sorted out.
