We are a family of 4-the kids are now older teenagers-and are looking for a place in Goa over this upcoming January
most hotels seem to be ridiculously expensive -but this place looks much more reasonable..is there a catch? http://www.kamatholidayhomes.com/kamat/ appreciate any advice cant find many reviews on the net Last edited by machadinha : Dec 19th, 2007 at 22:09. Reason: adjusted title |

You can find more cheaper hotel rooms than this. Calangute and Baga are probably the most touristy places in Goa, and they are filled with hotel. January is peak season, so. If you can't find a hotel room in time, and are not fussed where you stay, don't panic, you can find a decent one one you arrive.
With this hotel, I don't think there is a catch, but ask about certain taxes when enquiring.

We stayed here on our first trip to Goa in 2004 - we booked it as a package deal with Thomas Cook - it was basic & clean, although the rooms & the hotel itself were nothing special. Think there are self catering apartments for families in one wing. Half the hotel is British Tourists & the rest Indian tourists so a good mix!(the British sat inside for Egg & Bacon every morning while we joined the Indians for Wada & Idlis out by the pool!) All the staff were lovely & one of the reasons I fell in love with Goa! They did a great poolside BBQ of an evening too.
Our favourite Taxi driver hangs out at the end of the road leading upto Kamat, his name is Peter/Anul, so if you go ask for him - he will look after you! Enjoy! |
