Goa Airport - Prepaid Taxis available?

Hello everyone...i was just wondering if there are any buses from the airport to Calangute, how long they take and how much they are?? Im off on the 5th...my first time in Goa...am very excited!!

In the top right hand corner of this page is a little box that says "Search IndiaMike.com". If you type in that box "dabolim buses" (I just did) it gives several threads that will answer your question precisely!
By the way, if you were not aware, Dabolim is the name of Goa's airport.

1) go back to the original post and use "edit" to remove your e-mail address as ggg suggested please.

there are many taxis in goa,and airport campus is full of taxis,they can drive u full goa.

jamestaylor Do flights come into Goa airport at 3.30am ? If they do there will be taxis outside the airport.If the Pre paid desk is open book a taxi with them.

I always use the pre-pay taxi booth for two reasons;
1)with two kids on tow after a 10 hour flight from UK, i like the convienence of getting to a taxi without running the horrendous gauntlet that your faced with as soon as you step outside the main doors especially as my tolerance level is pretty low after listening to 'are we there yet?' for ten hours.

2) Took a bus once....thought i was never going to get there alive!!! It took ages and the bus overtook on blind bends and hills. I aged at least two years on that trip....so i will gladly pay 720 rs to get to Arpora quickly and efficiently....plus i always get the taxi driver to stop at an ATM en route so i can get my Rupees with the glorious Nationwide flexi-card.

At the end of the day....its still less than a tenner....just filter it into your budget.

Just paid 690 bucks for a pre-paid taxi from the airport to Baga
Road!!!
Last time I came I think I paid about 750 bucks but at that time petrol per liter was 4 rupees more expensive!!!

Is the pre-paid stand "outside" the airport still the most preferable to go to? Should I check both? Heard some people even talked themselves into a discount. Is that possible with these prepaid rates??

The taxi counter outside the terminal is the official one. This taxi counter is operated by the taxi drivers union. All the prices to the various beaches are prominently displayed on this counter. What you see is what you get. No haggling of any sort.

The counter inside the airport is not a taxi counter but a counter run by a private company which provides transportation to various location across Goa. The pricing at this counter is arbitrary. They prices vary depending on whether you are Indian or European and whether you look affluent or whether you are a backpacker.
