So the one outside is the one to use. But why?

Edit that. I've just seen your other post on the childrenwalkingtall website. Cheers for that.

Hi Everyone,

Here's a first hand update.
When I arrived at Goa today - I checked the fare to Old Goa at both the counters.

Guess what ...the one inside the airport quoted 700 Rs. whereas the one opposite to the arrivals hall (outside) ferried me to the same place for 490/- Rupees.

A lesson to be learnt here..??!!

Thanks to everyone for the tip!!

The one inside is a pvt. tour operator and other outside is a society under the guidelines of Goa tourism. The same is available is in front of Madgaon Rly. station. u need not pay anything extra than what u paid at the counter - Only thing give your destination very clearly.

Not really. They have nothing in common with each other.

Trying to find a taxi returning to one of the resorts after dropping their fare at the airport, is one way to get a cheap ride home.
This may save you 2-300 rupees, especially if you see a driver you know.
Be careful trying to do this at Margao station, the taxi union gets quiet militant.

By the way, for Tourist Vehicle read Terrorist Vehicle - judging by the way they drive.

Should be about Rs 650 to the holiday village. Slightly less to the taj Exotica. If one can afford to stay at either of these two hotels the price for a taxi is irrelevant.

Remember its cheaper to just walk out the airport gate, always taxis waiting, depends on your budget and bargaining skills, but these taxis are cheaper than the pre paid inside.
Airport to Benaulim pre paid 450 rp, outside 350.
These are proper taxis, but freelancers.
