Goa Airport - Prepaid Taxis available?

Does anyone have an updated list of the various pre paid taxi fares at Goa Airport.?
I seem to recall one in the earlier posts around 2005.

It wont affect your life..whatever the fare. It will be listed and you have to pay the same.

Whether it affects my life or not it is none of your business, and yes I know that I will have to pay the same as others. This will be my second trip to Goa my first was a few years ago.
I know that that the price is noted on a board, thus my question.

This is one of the fair things about Goa - the prices are there for all to see on the notice board, and you pay at the kiosk before you get into the taxi. What you see is what you pay.

This may be a dumb question, but without having a massive billboard, how can they list everywhere? Or is it done by area?

From what I remember it was a very large board, just opposite the exit doors of the airport - priced by area.

Susie is correct - large board at the Kiosk with the prices of the destinations - bet they have gone up considerably this year with the increase in petrol.

jevs, you may get a more intelligent response if you indicate where specifically in goa you intend to ask the airport taxi to drop you off, rather than asking for an entire price list.

you could probably add 10% or so to account for inflation/higher fuel prices etc.

Looks like it was Rs 15 a kilometer when that picture was taken - February 2006.
That's a lot isn't it? I paid that in July 2008 for a brand new A/C radiotaxi from the Hyderabad airport.

Goa's rate are really expensive compared to other areas... Mainly because the don't have the meters inside, or at least don't use them...

I always like going to Mumbai where it seems so very cheap in comparision.

If you are on a budget, or just want a cheaper Taxi, look at the pre paid price on the board, walk outside the gate, you will be aproached by lots of freelance Taxis, cheaper than pre paid.
I.E. airport to Benaulim prepaid RP450, outside RP350.
Up to you, i always walk outside.

I will be wanting to get a taxi from Goa airport to Gokarna, just south of the Goa Karnataka border. I'm wondering if I will be able to get a taxi, prepaid or otherwise, out of state and about how much I should pay.
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but it seemed a good place to ask.

Not sure on Taxis, but it will be expensive.
Theres a passanger train every afternoon, walk on,
just buy your ticket at the station.
It leaves Margao at about 14.00, destination Mangalore,
stops at Gokarna road station, about 2 hours from Margao
to Gokarna, ive done this train loads.
Very cheap and easy.
