Goa 13th to 15th July
Hi I will be visiting Goa from 13th to 15th July.
I read all the threads related to 'Goa in July' but will be visiting during the same timeline as this is a college reunion and not sure when we will get time again.
I just need to ask few things-
1.We won't be allowed to enter beaches?
(due to the water level)
2.We will be staying in North Goa but is there anything worth visiting in South Goa?
3.How much should a hotel will cost us in Calungate during this period?
4.Good options to eat in Calungate as most of us are vegetarian.
5.Mambo/Tito will be open during this time?

1. There are no locked gates anywhere to prevent you from visiting and walking on the beach and enjoying the sound of active waves crashing and beautiful sunsets but due to high water level and dangerous waves you should not take a chance and go for a swim in the sea.
2. The whole of South Goa and North Goa is lovely in my opinion and all there for you to explore and enjoy.
3. About Rupees 1000/day will give you many choices as July is not a busy travel time. Just go there and look around, check a few hotels/guesthouses and feel free to bargain and you could get decent accomodation for less.
4. Vegitarian restaurants near Calangute circle:Plantain Leaf and Anand Sagar, both good value and also Jiyas that I have not tried.
5. Mambo/Tito open in July? Don't know ? You go there and tell us !

Yes there is Arvalem falls in North Goa. It is a small fall but because of the water from the falls that area is very lush and scenic and I enjoyed my trip there some years back and if I remember correctly they were also constructing a temple near the falls.http://www.bharatonline.com/goa/goa-...aterfalls.html

Could you please tell in detail how you managed your visit to Dudhsagar, ideally on this threadDudh Sagar Water Falls
Its a nice way to pay back for the advice you have received
I am sorry for replying late.
We took wagonr at rent for a day for 1000. Left from calangate at around 10am.You can get the route very easily.
Its on karnatka border. On the highway landmark is a petrol pump on your left hand side.Take right, road in front of that petrol pump.
Ask anyone they will guide you to a railway junkyard(I love that junkyard though).
From there a lot of people with there personal bikes(mostly splendor) were there to take you to the fall.
They charged us 500 per person for bike ride till the falls.
The route is adjacent to a railway track and after few kilometers you have to cross the railway track and continue journey from other side.
After total of 12-14 kilometers you can see official board showing "DOODHSAGAR WATERFALLS".
500 per person is to and fro charges.
Other option is you can rent your own bike from calangate and go for this adventure ride.
Jeeps are also available but I am not sure of that.
I hope this might help.
