General Goa advise please

Ok for a little treat we have just booked a quick break away in Goa for 11/11 to 19/11. After shopping about we have deceided to go for flight only.

We have been to India a couple of times, firstly Delhi and surrounding areas (including off the beaten track) 2nd time was to Goa and Bombay about 2 years ago.

Anyway...visa, what would you fill in for contact address or referee, anybody got a dorm house we can put down?

Places to stay, we are looking for clean budget with western style bathroom. Think we will stay in Calangute and Palolem just for a relaxing break.

Also any good places to eat etc....is the dosa cafe still in middle of Calangute?

Also what have prices done over the last couple of years eg is a Kingfisher still 35 rupees etc?

For the contact address, You can leave it blank, If they insist, you can get the address of some folks from IM and fill it up .

About the beer, It was Rs 45 in May. But that was during election time, Dry days, We still got it at that price.
