Surely Panaji somewhere ?

I know some great 'antique' furniture shops outside Pondicherry in TN if that's your thing...

I remember seeing street markets selling all the things you mention. They sell from huge outdoor stalls.
One that springs to mind Is north of Margao on the Panjim Margao road.
These markets travel around Goa so look for the one in your area.
Other than that a trip into Margao or Panjim or indeed Mapusa will surely come up trumps.
Furniture is reasonably cheap in India a bed and head board can probably be had for around $100 a mattress for around $40 a sofa and two chairs for aound $150

A Good Hammock

The best piece of furniture you can buy is a good hammock. They are available at the "Jumra Pasale" (Flea Market) in Anjuna. A hippie flew into India with a couple duffle bags full of Yucatan peninsula hammocks and was selling them for US $50 to $62 each (the price dropped after New Year's) in Anjuna during the winter of 1995-96.

Urgently Wanted Second Hand Furniture

Hi, does anyone know where to get second hand furniture in Goa? We required:

1. Dining table with chairs
2. Master bed
3. Sofa set (one 2-seater and 2 single seaters)

We are newly married, and wanted to settle down.

Does anyone know shops where it is reasonably priced??

We stay at Margao.

Do reply.
