Question Flights UK to Goa October 2005

Hi everyone
Does anyone know of any airline operating flights to Goa in October. We are looking to travel the weekend of 22 Oct but so far the only holidays we can find start in November.
Has anyone travelled via Mumbai and is it recommended. How easy is it for connecting?
Looking at doing flights/hotel seperate rather than a package.
Any advice gratefully accepted.
thanks

Stopping off

I am travelling to Goa scheduled and will go Heathrow to Delhi by Air India/
Sahara Air from Delhi to Goa. The Return is Jet from Goa to Bombay and Air India from there back to Heathrow. I have managed to get a stopover of just 4 hours in both Delhi and Bombay which I think is pretty good. Total flight time each way of about 14 hours. After searching the net for days I got total price down from rediculous at about £3000 to a brilliant £472. This was through lastminute.com and they had no credit card charge or any hidden costs which so many of the sights seemed to add on at the lst moment.
Some of the flights also were shown as taking as long as 22 hrs. There always seems to be accomodation to be had. Depends of level of luxury(or not)that you want. Hope this is helpful

it sounds ridiculous but if you only want a few weeks try thomas cook or some other chavy package holliday lot, they get such bulk that you can get flights and hotel, not even use the hotel and save cash. worth a look.

We are going to Kerala from Canada in November 2005, via LHR on Emirates..They fly to Kochi, Mumbai and Delhi, connecting in Dubai...So you can fly to Kochi, and then to Goa from there (I think)..

Check it out anyhow..

Hi,
we flew with Lufthansa from Manchester (first leg is BMI), had a one hour stop at Frankfurt and then direct to Mumbai. We spent a week there and then paid 95 us dollars to fly to Goa. We booked online from the UK with India airlines and got an e-ticket which all worked fine. However to go back to Mumbai its only costing 500 INR each with a supersaver advance flight ticket with Deccan Airlines at the end of April - we booked 21 days in advance. We can't give you a costing for the lufthansa flight as it was paid with airmiles and we only had to pay 70 stirling tax each.
We get an info email from BMI and they have just announced direct flights to Mumbai from the UK (started Feb 2005 I think) and there has just been a big splash in the papers here with Richard Branson and Virgin starting flights to Mumbai - not sure if any originate in the UK.

Cool Goaaaaaaa

OK flights are booked! Jet Airways from LHR to BOM then we getting Jet Airways doen to Goa.

About to book Coco Banana guest house for 1st few nights then will see where we like and move about.

Been looking at lots of photos on web and getting very excited! 8 year old daughter very keen! Would like to bring some goodies for kids - anyone recomend anything please? We normally go to Mauritius and takes odds & sods for kids & it goes down a treat. Will bring some of daughters grown out of clothes, but how about felt tips, dolls etc? Any advise welcome.

Haven't put Lonely Planet Goa down since it arrived in post and can't stop trawling this site too. I think the travel bug has bitten me again, 20 years after the 1st time round! Any other recomendations of where to go what to see?

thanks & regards
