Flight from Mumbai to Goa
Hello,
we will arrive at Mumbai on January 01st 2009 at 4:15 am in the morning with Qatar Airways and want to book a flight to Goa on the same day. The earliest one is Jet Airways at 6:30 am. Would it be possible to get this flight or is it too curt to get from international to national Terminal? How far is it? The problem is, that the next flight will be not until 12:00. I can not find any flight between 6:30 and 12:00. Is it possible that there is no other flight in the morning between 6:30 and 12:30??? Ii will be our first Trip to India, so I hope you will help us. Thank you very much in advance. Greetings Bebee |

Hello Bebee and welcome to indiamike.com
If you're fight arrived on time, you could probibly make the 06:30 flight.
One thing worth mentioning though, internal flights in India change on a weekly/monthly basis, the growth in flights is amazing and I think you'll have more options by next January. I think you'd need to book early, but you may still be best to wait till about September and see what new flights have started.

It may be cutting it a bit too short if you ask me, it is best to wait for the afternoon flight, I don't think there might be a huge difference in the number of flights from Mumbai but you never know what can happen in India!!! I would suggest you wait till the winter timetable is out later this year for the next winter season and then book your flights accordingly. If your flight arrives on time then it will take you atleast an hour to get out of the international terminal 2A (where Qatar Airways arrives) so ask for the special gate from where the free inter terminal shuttle bus departs for the domestic terminal (after the customs check point and before you exit the airport). The bus leaves every half hour from both the terminals. The ride to the domestic terminal will take about 15-20 minutes and is better than going from outside the terminal by a taxi. Hope this helps.
Cheers, Aadil.

I know there is no way airlines are going to allow a 6 hour gap between flights from indias biggest city to one of its biggest tourist destinations! Especially on new years day!
The problem will be that you are booking so far in advance that most airlines wont have published their schedule for that period yet. wait until sep/oct before booking this flight, dont worry there will be several flights per hour going to goa on that morning. |

Thank you very much for your help. I will wait untill autumn and looking for the flights then. I was just a bit shocked, when I saw on the Jet Airways Homepage, that some cheep flights are already sold out, but a friend of mine told me, that there is always mentioned sold out, on some cheep fares.
By the way, does anybody know another connection for going from Mumbai to Bangkok, apart from Air India, Jet Airways and Cathay Pacific (and of course Thai Airways, but it's too expensive)? Cathay is a direct flight for round about 10.000 per Person. I think this is quite good, but if someone knows also another possibilty, please let me know. Thanks a lot! |

India-Bangkok
A few years back we flew from Colcatta to Bangkok for 5.000 Rs with Druk Air. Don't know if they have connections from Mumbai.
