Madgaon is closer to South Goa beaches like Cola, Benaulim, Majorda, Cavelossim, Bogmalo etc

If you wish to stay at North Goa beaches you'll have to take a taxi or Kadamba buses (State Govt. buses) to north Goa.

Goa tourism runs day tours to South Goa & North Goa, they are good for showing places including old Goa churches and beaches.

Generally North Goa is more oriented towards hip crowds....party scenes etc.....South Goa is more mellow type....

There's loads to see in Goa, just broaden your horizons and move around a little

Compared with the other places I have been to in India I found Goa to be not as interesting and I did say it was MY opinion...

So go on then tell me what else there is to see....

Every beach is different.

Go inland on a bike or scooter, meet interesting people and see the sights the beach tourists miss.

Go on a train ride.

Make friends with the locals and see how they live.

Do the tourist things like - spice farms - waterfalls etc but make sure you see other things whilst on your day out.

To but name a few....

done all those things....and loved every second.

But thats what I mean by trying to find what the OP was interested in before I suggested things for his few days.
What if he cant ride? hates beaches? Loves temples and forts?

For a few days you need to be focused. If you have weeks you can amble about at your leisure and explore.

Again only in my humble opinion....

The information is for the OP, not for those of use who have been several times.

The OP'er has to choose what activity or pastime they like from the suggestions given.

We are only here to guide and give our experiences.

Thanks all for replying to my post.
Well i can ride, love beaches and also love churches and forts. So no problem with that. I am thinking about traveling all through the day and spend nite at some hotel or something and take some rest.

You will have no problems...

Just stop and ask, most people you will come across will be more than helpful.

The station is nearer to the south. So you could get a taxi to cavelossim and stay at Palm Grove residency basic BnB and/or travel onto Agonda and Palolem by scooter sleep in a hut. Or just relax on the 26 mile long beach at cavelossim, Mobor Beach. Check out the great beach shacks if they are stil there not sure when the season finishes and they have to pack up. Then get a taxi guy to take you to old Goa and see St. Xaviar in the church there.
Wander round the town and watch the sun go down over the funny bent trees.
Find a hotel to base yourself first and take it from there.
