If he is guilty then this is a pretty horrific case. I suppose it's logical that paedophiles will head to places where the Police are seen as corrupt and where children are vunerable.
I think western nations need to take responisibility for their citizens and have laws in place so that they can be tried in their home country rather than just the country where the alledged offense took place. I think we've just introduced something along these lines in the UK. Penalties for those convicted should be extremely servere. If we can't, don't or won't protect our children then it isn't worth protecting ourselves.
