Delicious food at Sea Breeze in Arambol!

For the last week I have been staying in a little hut next to the Sea Breeze Restaurant in Arambol. Since the first night that I arrived, the kindly Chef Chandan Chari has made me the some of the best food that I have had in the last 2.5 months in India. He is a trained chef and uses fresh ingredients and real olive oil in his cooking. I had delicious pasta al dente with rich basil pesto last night. His Goan dishes are also amazing. I have had fresh fried mackerel rubbed with chile and turmeric and kingfish with lemony butter sauce. I also had an amazing coconut shrimp curry that melted in my mouth. My friend Noa calls Chef Chandan a "treasure" and claims that the fish he made her last night was the best she's ever had in her life.

I am a New Yorker, and we have a lot of good restaurants in the city. Chandan's cooking is definitely on par with the some of the best Italian/seafood/Indian restaurants in NYC. But the surroundings of the beach and the soft colored lights are so much nicer than New York at the moment!

I get no free meal out of this page of praise- I just want to let Indiamikers know what a first rate restaurant I think this place is, and I hope you get to enjoy it if you're in Arambol too.

Hi there. Any chance you could tell me the name of the hut? The restaurant sounds so good I don't think I'll be able to walk too far after eating there!
